Louise Aeger McAlum

Louise Aeger McAlum, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at home. She was born in Savannah, daughter of Charles Conrad and Verb Shuman Aeger. Mrs. McAlum was a graduate of Draughon's Business College and later became a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking wonderful southern meals and loved to garden. She was catholic by faith. Her two brothers, Charlie and Billy Aeger preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, William H. McAlum of Savannah; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and David DeGeorge of Savannah; sister, Madeline Levake of Bloomington, MN; grandchildren, William, Kathleen and Thomas DeGeorge and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
